Constructed with a lightweight yet rugged graphite frame and sideplates, the Squall® II houses a forged and machined aluminum spool built to handle heavy loads. Inside, a marine-grade bronze alloy main gear and stainless steel pinion gear combine for unmatched durability and cranking power. The 3+1 shielded stainless steel ball bearing system ensures smooth operation, while the HT-100™ carbon fiber drag washers offer long-lasting drag power that stays smooth across the entire range. A 4.9:1 gear ratio paired with an 89 cm (35 in) retrieve rate gives anglers the control and torque needed for deep water applications.
The Squall® II Level Wind reel also features Line Capacity Rings to easily monitor remaining line, and an Instant Anti-Reverse bearing for rock-solid hooksets. Designed with braid in mind, but capable of handling heavy monofilament, the SQLII30LWLH gives anglers flexibility in tackle choice.
