When it comes to producing quality fish day after day after day, one name above all others comes to mind – John Skinner. His success comes from not only punishing outings and pushing his physical limits, but also from perfecting his equipment and tweaking it to increase the chance of success when opportunity presents itself. That’s what makes him so good, and that’s what sets the Dark Matter John Skinner Surf series rods apart from everything else. What most people don’t know is that these highly advanced, very technical fishing rods are born not from success, but failure. That’s what it takes to be truly great. The missed hooksets, the extra 10 yards needed to reach the strike zone, the inability to turn a fish in current, the heartbreak of a lost battle. The Dark Matter John Skinner series surf rods represent the culmination of years and years of experience surf fishing in all kinds of conditions, by one of the best to ever do it. And with every cast you take, you’ll feel that too.
