The Daiwa Saltiga Saltwater Travel Spinning Rods bring high-end blank performance to a multi-piece platform, giving traveling anglers a rod that breaks down for a plane without giving up the backbone needed for hard-fighting tropical species. The slim profile blank and strong butt section handle roosterfish, cobia, snook, triggerfish and other exotics that normally demand a one-piece rod.
Daiwa's V-Joint ferrule system is what makes the multi-piece design work. The joints flex with the blank instead of against it, eliminating the flat spots that plague conventional ferrules and removing the weak points that cause multi-section rods to fail or separate mid-fight. The result is a bend curve that loads and recovers like a single-piece blank.
Both models are wrapped with Fuji guides chosen for the job - Tangle Free K Guides with FazLite rings on the Medium, and Fuji Ocean Guides on the Medium Heavy for heavier braid and bigger drag pressure.
