The Daiwa Saltiga Saltwater Travel Casting Rods pair a high-end conventional blank with a multi-piece design built for the traveling angler. The slim profile and strong backbone deliver the lifting power needed for roosterfish, cobia, snook, triggerfish and other hard-fighting tropical species, while the sectioned blank packs down small enough to fly with.
Daiwa's V-Joint ferrules connect the sections with a flexing joint that avoids the flat spots typical of multi-piece rods. The bias construction virtually eliminates the weak points found where blank sections meet, so the rod loads smoothly through the fight and will not separate under heavy drag pressure.
Every model is finely wrapped with Fuji Tangle Free K Guides and tough FazLite rings, chosen for durability in transit as much as on the water. The series runs from a compact 5'9" two-piece for close-quarters casting to 7'4" three-piece models with the reach for bigger water. Each rod includes a compact travel case and carries Daiwa's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
