Ok

This combo is ok for a beginner. It was my first baitcaster. The rod is fairly decent, but the reel is pure garbage. It's a Silver Max copy. Together the combo is a bit on the heavy side. $89 is a fair price for it. Especially considering you would be better off replacing the reel before even using it. However, as is it will catch fish, just won't be as enjoyable as using better gear. I did catch a 4 lb 2 oz largemouth on it. The combo handled it just fine.

Have had this combo for over 4 years and I love it haven’t ever had a problem very durable and just a all around great combo if you ever think about getting one just go ahead and get it
